Manufacturing Process Operator 2

FACETLLC is a pharmaceutical sciences company specializing in development and manufacturing of products for laboratory, medical, chemical, diagnostic, and government applications.  We help customers bring their products to market from research to launch where operations include formulation development, manufacturing and packaging of liquid and dry products in bulk and dosage forms, complex container/closure systems, and printed packaging materials.

Responsibilities

Supports laboratory/operations daily production requirements.  Maintains equipment and materials.  Documents all processing activities and can review records for completeness and accuracy.  This position is to ensure the timely and accurate completion of customer orders in compliance with all safety, quality, budget, and productivity guidelines.

The operator 2 has the ability to problem solve and manufactures products according to the master schedule.  Understands and follows set-up, production, and operating procedures.  The operator role participates in manufacturing of liquid and dry products, bulk and parenterals, oral formulations, tablets, gels, pastes, and suspensions.  Packaging unit operations requires assembly and repackaging in combination packs, single-use, films, and kitting with coordination of both upstream and down-stream unit operations.

  • Meet daily production targets, document work performed, and comply with procedures and processes
  • Participate in production meetings
  • Execute batch makeup and in-process control steps
  • Document all processing actions according to Good Documentation Practices
  • Manufacture multiple products simultaneously and complete documentation per batch record requirements
  • Operate processing equipment and can troubleshoot unplanned issues to reduce downtime
  • Understanding of container/closure systems and how and when used per product/project
  • Ability to perform equipment setup, configuration, and calibration in preparation for processing
  • Performs preventative maintenance, testing, and calibration procedures
  • Maintains and tracks inventory of raw materials for in-process and finished product
  • Train and direct the work of a group if necessary
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
  • Maintain an organized work environment and assist in preparation, planning, and execution of production activities
  • Maintain a safe and clean work space by operating safely and following all safety procedures
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associates degree in a technical or related field and 3 years work experience preferred
  • Knowledge/experience of manufacturing, packaging, and/or laboratory preferred
  • Familiarity with cGMP, cGLP, FDA, and labeling practices
  • Punctual, good attitude, detail oriented
  • Computer skills; ability to use Microsoft Office products
  • Good interpersonal oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates initiative, ability to learn, and apply technical and scientific knowledge
  • Flexible and open to learning new products and techniques; ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work an 8 hour shift and lift and move materials and equipment
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Applicant will work within a production plant. Some chemicals and allergens may be present. Mobility requirements and potential exposure to allergens should be considered when applying for this position
